Yuexi Cuilan - Chinese State Guest Tea

Yuexi Cuilan has a beautiful appearance, with connected buds and leaves, which stretch naturally, resembling a small orchid. The quality characteristics of Yuexi Cuilan are outstanding in the "three greens", that is, the dry tea has a green color, a green soup color, and a tender green leaf bottom.
Yuexi is located in the hinterland of Dabie Mountain, and the ecological environment is very suitable for tea. The middle and low mountains with an average altitude of more than 400 meters account for 80% of the county's total area, with a forest coverage rate of 72%, a warm, humid, cloudy and foggy alpine climate, rich in organic matter and acidic mountain yellow brown soil, and no chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used. Nearly 10,000 tea farmers in China provide reliable weather, soil and cultivation guarantees for the production of high mountain tea.

Tea produce process
Yuexi Cuilan's craftsmanship is exquisite. The picking period is before and after the rain, and the standard is divided into three levels: single bud, one bud and one leaf, and one bud and two leaves.
The collected fresh leaves are sorted and spread before payment. The manual craftsmanship consists of two processes: finishing and drying.
Completely separate the pot and the second pot. The first pot time is about 3 minutes, master the high temperature and kill quickly, when the blue qi disappears and the fragrance appears, switch to the second pot. The temperature of the second pot is slightly lower, and shape while frying. When the weight loss of the fresh leaves reaches 45-50%, the pan is heated and dried.
The baking is divided into low fire and full fire, and it is carried out on a charcoal oven. Spread and dry for more than half an hour between the two.
After full fire, spread the barrel slightly and seal it.

Tea History
The main reason for the name "Yuexi Cuilan" is that this tea is green in color and resembles an orchid, which is produced in Yuexi. There are other reasons. First, Cuilan tea is developed on the basis of the traditional craftsmanship of the historically famous tea "Little Orchid" produced in the Yaohe and Toutuohe areas in the northeastern part of Yuexi County. It has a "green and fresh" quality. The characteristics are outstanding, hence the name. The second is that Yuexi County belongs to the hinterland of Dabie Mountain, with a good ecological environment, and the bluegrass flowers are all over the mountains, which is eye-catching. After the Ming Dynasty Zhang Xianzhong led his troops to capture Yuexi, he named it "Lanhua County". As there are many orchids, the tea here is naturally infiltrated with the aroma of orchids.
In 1985, it was awarded the title of "High-quality Agricultural Products" by the Ministry of Agriculture and was named one of the first batch of newly created "Top Ten Famous Teas" in New China.
In 2008, won the Gold Award of the 7th International (Korea) Famous Tea Competition
From 2010 to 2012, Yuexi Cuilan became a state guest tea for four times.
From September 26 to 28, 2010, Russian President Medvedev paid a state visit to my country. "One Hundred Years Feilengcui" Yuexi Cuilan was selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and presented to the Russian President and delegation members as a national gift by state leaders, which achieved good results. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs fully affirmed this and sent a letter of thanks.
On July 27, 2020, Yuexi Cuilan was selected as the second batch of protected geographical indications in Europe.
